A place for Highlanders fencers, alumni, and coaches to drop the stories that would otherwise live in a group chat nobody scrolls back through.
So this exists now.
The idea is pretty simple. Everyone who fenced at NJIT, coached at NJIT, or stuck around the program long enough to have stories about it has stories about it. They usually come out at a wedding, or in a parking lot after a meet, or in a text thread at 1am when somebody posts an old photo and the whole group loses it for an hour. Then they vanish again.
This is the place where they don't have to vanish.
It works like this. If you're on the roster, you can write. If you're not on the roster but you want to read about the program, you can read. That's the whole gate. Write a paragraph, write a novel, post a blurry photo from regionals in 2009, talk about the bus ride, the coach who yelled at you for the right reason, the teammate who became your best friend, the ref who definitely robbed you. All of it counts. None of it is too small.
I built this because programs are built quietly, one season at a time, and most of the people who built ours will never meet the kids who show up next fall. That feels wrong. The freshman walking into their first practice should be able to read what came before them, and the alumni who built it should get to see where it went. Somewhere between those two things is a team, and a team is worth writing down.
So write something. Anything. The first memory is always the hardest and after that it gets embarrassingly easy.
Touch left, and welcome.
